Sales Academies

New Partners

New Partners Sales

If you were, for example, a new Partner Sales Rep wanting to sell ShoreTel UC Cloud, Onsite and Hybrid solutions, then you would enroll in two academies; the ShoreTel Sales Cloud Enabled Academy and the ShoreTel Sales Onsite Academy.

NOTE: Sales training is at no cost to the partner and auto-renews every two years.

Existing Partners Sales

If you are, for example, a Partner Sales Rep wanting to sell ShoreTel UC Cloud, Onsite and Hybrid solutions, then you would enroll in the ShoreTel Sales Cloud Enabled Academy and the ShoreTel Sales Onsite Academy.

ShoreTel Sales Cloud Approved (SSCA)
This academy is designed for sales individuals who identify and work with cloud opportunities. Courses in this academy are designed to demystify cloud and the ShoreTel Connect Cloud offering. You will learn to position cloud solutions for potential prospects by presenting product offerings and using key competitive differentiators.

ShoreTel Sales Cloud Enabled (SSCE)
This academy provides courses for those individuals tasked with selling the ShoreTel Cloud solution. You will learn about the cloud products, including connectivity options. Key competitive differentiators are explored and you learn how to position the cloud offering.

ShoreTel Sales Onsite (SSO)
This academy is designed for individuals who sell ShoreTel Connect Onsite solutions. You will learn how to effectively sell ShoreTel applications including Unified Communications, Collaboration, Contact Center, Mobility and Cloud Hybrid solutions; plus popular Professional Service applications, along with products or services from ShoreTel Innovative Network Partners. You will also learn how to leverage ShoreTel resources to help you successfully sell, implement and support a ShoreTel solution. You must complete all required modules within the academy to be certified.

ShoreTel Solution Architect (SSA)
This Academy is designed for Partners selling ShoreTel Connect Cloud, Onsite and Hybrid solutions.

The ShoreTel Solutions Architect Academy addresses issues and expectations of customers when designing and delivering quality solution proposals. You will learn to uncover design considerations and explain implementation best practices. Creating a Bill of Materials and a Scope of Work are also explored. You will learn how solutions and components work together as a single image when creating a good architectural design. You must complete all required modules within the academy to be certified.

ShoreTel Solution Architect (SSA) - Onsite
This Academy is designed for Service Providers and Partners selling ShoreTel Connect Onsite solutions.

The ShoreTel Solutions Architect Academy covers addressing issues and expectations of customers when designing and delivering quality solution proposals. You will learn to uncover design considerations and explain implementation best practices. Creating a Bill of Materials and a Scope of Work are also explored. You will learn how solutions and components work together as a single image when creating a good architecture design. You must complete all required modules within the academy to be certified.


Technical Academies

NEW PARTNERS

New Partners Technical

If you were, for example, a technical specialist in your organization responsible for hardware installation you would enroll in the UC System Installer Academy. If you were responsible for software programming, you would then enroll in the UC System Programmer Academy. If you performed both job roles, you would enroll in both the UC Installer and System Programmer Academies.

NOTE: Technical training requires a subscription for each Technical Academy an employee is enrolled in.

Existing Partners

Existing Partners Technical

If you were, for example, a UC implementation specialist in 14.2 you might need to have both the System Installer and System Programmer Academies depending on your job role.

UC System Installer (UCSI)
In this academy, you learn to install and configure a ShoreTel Unified Communication Solution. You study different components of the ShoreTel Unified Communications Solution and then install and configure the base UC system, including installing the ShoreTel software and configuring hardware. Using ShoreTel Director, you configure system parameters, sites, servers, switches, PSTN trunks, phones, and users. You will learn how to perform system backups and restorations and how to create a test plan to verify that the system is properly installed.

NOTE:  You must complete all required modules within the academy to be certified.

UC System Programmer (UCSP)
In this academy, you learn to implement the solutions design of a ShoreTel Unified Communications system. You learn the basics of database collection and importing DB User records. Using ShoreTel Director, with a solid understanding of available user features, options and system limitations, you implement the call flow plan according to the customer’s requirements. Training includes choosing the best call control feature to provide optimum solutions as well as implementing advanced user features. You also learn how to perform system backups and restorations and how to create a test plan to verify that the system design is functional.

Additionally, you will learn to train end users and system administrators once the system is implemented.

UC Support Engineer - Tier 1 (UCSE)
Completing this academy certifies you as a UC Support Engineer – Tier 1.

You will learn about the customer’s network readiness requirements for deploying the ShoreTel system components and solution architecture. You will learn about ShoreTel products and virtualization, 3rd party SIP phones, and configuring TIE Trunks to 3rd party PBXs. You also learn to integrate ShoreTel applications, conferencing and Fax solutions. Additionally, you learn to use troubleshooting utilities to isolate system issues and how and what information to collect in order to properly escalate problems to ShoreTel TAC.

UC Advanced Support Engineer - Tier 2 (UCAE)
This academy is an advanced training program for those individuals with extensive ShoreTel Tier I support experience. You learn advanced troubleshooting techniques, low-level details of the ShoreTel architecture and protocol flows, detailed debug information and practical troubleshooting scenarios. This academy builds upon all available training and the candidate’s previous ShoreTel experience to prepare the student to perform the role of a ShoreTel Level 2 support escalations engineer.
