SUNNYVALE, CA, February 6, 2006 - ShoreTel, Inc., the fastest growing IP PBX company in the United States and the leader in customer satisfaction, today announced the ShoreTel Developers Network, an exciting new online community that provides software developers and system integrators with the resources they need to build advanced applications that integrate business processes and telephony.

The ShoreTel DevNet is a one-stop resource shop that includes a library of programming interfaces and development tools, a discussion forum for developer interactions, and a showcase featuring the best application and integration examples from DevNet members and ShoreTel partners. These resources are backed up by support from the DevNet Help Desk.

"With ShoreTel DevNet, we are fostering the development of advanced applications that make businesses more productive," said Jeff Ridley, director of product management at ShoreTel. "In a single package, software developers and partners get their own community with the resources they need to take the power and capabilities of ShoreTel IP telephony systems to an entirely new level."

ShoreTel's IP telephony systems have always set the standard for ease of use and management, and this same commitment to simplicity is being extended to application development. A library of APIs opens the ShoreTel platform more broadly to innovative third-party developers who are building a world of voice-enabled applications.

"ShoreTel's DevNet is a great program that enables us to leverage the value of the ShoreTel IP telephony system by providing our customers with applications, such as CRM call recording, that increase their productivity," said Lou Person, president of ShoreTel channel partner Traxi Technologies. "A part of the program that we really appreciate is access to ShoreTel's very knowledgeable engineers."

Components of ShoreTel DevNet include:

DevNet Library

offers APIs, software samples, and other developer tools, including a TAPI Toolkit for client and server application development; an SDK for simplified desktop integration and development; and an ANI-based call routing sample that uses the client SDK.

DevNet Help Desk

manned by ShoreTel developers who can answer questions about the use of DevNet Library APIs and tools.

The development tools require the use of a ShoreTel IP telephony system. ShoreTel is offering dedicated development platforms at a discount to DevNet members who do not have a ShoreTel system or who do not want to use a production system for development work.

Pricing and Availability

The ShoreTel Developers Network with the DevNet Library is available now, for an annual membership and API license fee of $995. The DevNet Help Desk support is available separately in five- and ten-incident packs priced at $2,490 and $4,725, respectively.
