Move to Sunnyvale Accommodates Shoreline Expansion

SUNNYVALE, CA, March 9, 1999 - Shoreline Teleworks, the innovative developer of IP-based voice communications systems, has relocated from Mountain View, Calif., to Sunnyvale, Calif., more than tripling its headquarters office space.

Shoreline, which had been in a 10,000-square-foot facility in Mountain View since July 1997, now occupies 31,000 square feet at 960 Stewart Drive, Sunnyvale, Calif., 94086. The building is leased to Shoreline for a five-year period.

John Fazio, Shoreline CEO, said the move accommodates the company’s doubling in number of employees over the past year and supports a further doubling of staff by the end of 1999.

Fazio attributed the strong growth of the company to the favorable response by resellers and customers to the company’s CrystaLAN IP-PBX system. "It’s clear the CPE market for integrated voice and data solutions in small- and medium-sized enterprises is beginning to intensify," said Fazio. "Our growth also reflects the strength of our system architecture, which delivers the same high level of reliability and availability found in the legacy PBX systems."

Shoreline Teleworks was founded in 1996 to develop a solution that addresses the small- and medium-sized enterprise customer’s desired integration of voice and data networks. Shoreline has been shipping its IP-based CrystaLAN voice application since October 1998. The CrystaLAN system, which is sold exclusively through VARs, is an intuitive solution that is easy to install, use and manage by bringing the power and flexibility of data networking to voice communications.

In December Shoreline was named as one of the Hot 25 Start-Up Companies of 1998 by Data Communications magazine. The company is privately held. For more information, please visit the company's web site at www.shoretel.com.
