ShoreTel UC is Music to the Ears for Roland

Roland Corporation is a leading manufacturer and distributor of electronic musical instruments, including keyboards, synthesizers, guitar products, electronic percussion kits, digital recording equipment, amplifiers and audio processing devices. For four decades, Roland has set the global standards in music technology, and markets its products under a number of other brand names such as BOSS, Edirol, Desktop Media, and Cakewalk.

Roland had been using a 3Com VCX phone system until receiving notice about discontinuation and end of support for the existing products. The 3Com company had been purchased by Hewlett Packard a few years ago, and while Williams liked the agility of HP networking infrastructure, the 3Com phone system as it was implemented at Roland was not as effective a solution as the music company had envisioned. Roland operates a very busy contact center, which required a third-party attendant console and relied on integration with additional software for handling inbound environments and advanced feature sets.
