ShoreTel Mobility 8 Addendum

We hope all our premises-based customers are enjoying the new features provided with ShoreTel Mobility 8 release.

However, in all the downloadable excitement, we want to clarify one important point. Two new  features including enterprise video conferencing and integration with ShoreTel Communicator are currently only available for our existing and new on-premises customers.

For our on-premises customers ShoreTel Mobility 8 makes it easy to communicate via video between iOS and Android smartphones and tablets using the ShoreTel Mobility Client, with single touch video calling from the keypad. ShoreTel Mobility 8 also enables organizations to leverage investments through integration with best of breed room-based systems that support open industry standards (H.264/AVC) including Lifesize and Polycom. Video calls are supported over local or remote Wi-Fi and cellular data worldwide.

Integration with ShoreTel Communicator enables on-premises customers to use the same user interface they use to manage their desk phone.

All customers, including ShoreTel Sky customers, can now take advantage of the single-click dial-in feature from their ‘Today’ screen for conferencing.  This includes leading conferencing applications such as Webex and Go-to-Meeting.
