M5 Continues to Innovate in Corporate Learning With 2012 Battle of the Bands and Jiu-Jitsu Competitions

SUNNYVALE, Calif., April 24, 2012 – ShoreTel® (NASDAQ; SHOR), the leading provider of brilliantly simple premise and cloud-based business phone system and communication solutions with fully integrated unified communications (UC), today announced that its Cloud Division, M5 Networks, will host a partner briefing and customer appreciation party on May 3, 2012, in New York City.

The invitation only Partner Briefing for ShoreTel and M5 Networks partners will be held at the Empire Hotel in New York City. Peter Blackmore, ShoreTel CEO, and Dan Hoffman, president and general manager of the ShoreTel Cloud Division, will outline the company’s vision and discuss what the acquisition means for partners and customers. The briefing will also feature a demonstration of the company’s newest cloud-based unified communications offering, Communicator.

The customer appreciation event, which will follow the partner briefing and will be held at New York’s Terminal Five, is expected to attract more than 800 customers, partners, employees and other guests. With a theme of “Learn,” it emphasizes the company’s unique approach to corporate learning and its belief that happy employees lead to happy customers. In partnership with The School of Rock in New York and Hochstein School of Music in Chicago, six bands made up of employees, new to their instruments, will compete for the title of Best Band. The company Jiu-jitsu program, run in partnership with MMA Champion Marcelo Garcia and international Chess Champion Josh Waitzkin, author of “The Art of Learning,” will also be featured.

“Every year, we commemorate our birthday with a customer appreciation event. This year we have more to celebrate than ever, so the party has to be bigger, louder and more Rock-n-Roll,” said Hoffman. “We've booked the concert hall, practiced our instruments and scored celebrity judges. Our customers and partners won't want to miss the Battle of the Bands, percussion team and corporate learning Jiu-jitsu style.”
