For Immediate Release

M5 NETWORKS ACQUIRES COMMUNICATIONS PROVIDER GECKOTECH

Combined teams and technology set to offer nationwide service

Chicago, IL (November 3, 2010) —M5 Networks announced it's acquisition of Chicago-based company, Geckotech. The acquisition was a response to the growing demand for business-grade hosted communications technology, bringing the two innovative companies together.

Before the acquisition, Geckotech had already chosen M5 Network’s Call Conductor platform to meet their technology overhaul needs. After the official acquisition date, M5 Networks began integrating Geckotech clients into its systems over the course of the next year, with immediate access to the Call Conductor platform for clients’ existing phones. “Our customers are going to love this,” said Randa Bradley, Geckotech’s Director of Operations, regarding usage of M5 Networks’ systems.

Managed, hosted, VoIP company M5 and Cisco-powered Hosted VoIP company Geckotech are both recognized as market leaders in the VoIP industry. Both companies have remained competitive in the telecom alternatives market thanks to innovative technology and excellent management services, with both companies appearing in the 2009 issue of Inc. 5000’s list of fastest growing private companies in the U.S.

With the acquisition, M5 took control over Geckotech staff, customers, as well as datacenters. CEO of Geckotech, Josh Robbins, was eager for the integration of services to take place, stating, “M5 has been the leader in this industry since they pioneered it ten years ago. They’ve built great technology, which we can’t wait to utilize for our shared customer base. Together we can enable our customers to use advanced phone system technology to become more efficient and informed organizations.”

President and CEO of M5 Networks Dan Hoffman was just as excited about the acquisition, and expressed sincere respect for the work Geckotech had done previously. “Josh has done an exceptional job of building a profitable, customer-focused hosted provider,” said Hoffman. “I’m thrilled to work closely with him and Geckotech’s experienced team.”

Robbins joined M5 Networks as Vice President of Business Development, while M5 Network’s Vice President of Operations Karrin Parker relocated to the Chicago offices of Geckotech to manage the integration process.
