Consultants, ShoreTel Come Together at Enterprise Connect

Our efforts to reach out to the independent technology consultant community at Enterprise Connect in Orlando, Fla. last week were a resounding success.  We offered mini-briefings and booth tours, and were kept busy with those pretty much throughout the show.  In fact, at one point, we had four consultant groups all touring the booth at the same time.

On Wednesday morning at the bright and early hour of 7 A.M., we sponsored a breakfast – by invitation only – for key industry consultants.  Normally, for events of this nature, particularly early morning events, we anticipate as much as a 50 percent no-show rate.  Well, not this time!!  In fact, we had the exact number of consultant attendees we had planned on, and they loved the format.  Five of our key ShoreTel executives were each assigned a table, and the consultants could get their breakfast from the buffet and then join the table or tables that were of most interest to them. Hats off to David Petts, Kevin Gavin, Chuck Krogman, Sam Koury and Steve McElderry for their willing participation so early in the morning.

The format was developed from a suggestion made by our Consultant Advisory Board that we offer consultants an opportunity to meet with senior management in an informal setting, and we received very positive feedback from the consultant attendees.  Comments included:  “Just what we wanted,” “Outstanding format,”  “Excellent arrangement,” and my favorite – “It was a brilliant idea.”  A huge thanks to our Consultant Advisory Board for their innovative thinking that is helping our Consultant Liaison Program http://www.shoretel.com/partners/consultants become a big success.
