Apple Rolls On as King of Cool Devices
Apple’s reputation for the quality and coolness of its products is the envy of the tech industry.
With its newly announced iPads – a mini with retina display and the iPad Air, and with more than 475,000 applications built for the iPad, its future as the leader in mobile devices is assured.
The Cupertino, Calif.-based company did nothing to alter that reputation Monday, releasing fiscal fourth quarter sales and revenue figures the rest of the tech industry would die for.
Apple posted earnings of $7.5 billion, on revenue of $37.5 billion, with the company selling 33.8 million iPhones, up from 26.9 million iPhones in the same quarter last year, and 14.1 million iPads, up from 14 million in the quarter a year ago.
ShoreTel recognizes Apple’s value, and its leadership in driving the BYOD trend. ShoreTel's rich unified communications collaboration capabilities are available on iPads and iPhones, while the ShoreTel Dock transforms iPhones and iPads into business desk phones.
