American Title, Inc. is a family-owned and -operated company headquartered in Omaha, NE. In mid-2006, American Title was looking to consolidate two offices in Omaha, NE, which would require a larger phone system than its existing InterTel PBX and Samsung PBX systems. In addition to accommodating growth, the organization had a strategic plan that included delivering services to clients on an aggressive schedule. In the escrow business, it is critical that people have fast access to the right contacts, and quickly.

ShoreTel’s reseller partner brought in equipment early, so American Title could begin testing its network before the move. ShoreTel provided six ShoreTel T1 Voice Switches, five ShoreTel 120s, two voicemail servers, and 264 ShoreTel IP Phones, models 560 and 110. The entire installation took a weekend. Business continued uninterrupted, as the rollout was done in phases. Once the new location was ready for utilization, the telephones were plugged in, and American Title was taking orders right away. - Inbound calls are answered and directed to the right party quickly, which is vital because American Title literally has to complete each title search within a set time frame.
- American Title is able to use its analog phones and fax systems with the new system, thereby making the most of its existing investment.
- ShoreTel Core Software includes a powerful voice messaging system, including user-configurable call handling options and find-me routing. The voice messaging system can be accessed visually from ShoreTel Call Manager or the user’s Microsoft® Outlook® inbox.
- Significant time and cost savings achieved as IT staff can maintain the system with the Web-based interface of ShoreTel Director, making all moves, adds, and changes in-house, and in minutes.
