Pre-Sales Network Engineer with routing, switching, and security experience in both an enterprise and service provider space.

Responsibilities:
  • As a Pre-Sales Network Engineer, you will articulate end-to-end solutions to complex business - networking and communications problems.
  • Act as a technical consultant to the sales team and provide pre-sales support in the form of presentations, demonstrations and RFP’s and drive incremental sales to meet profitability guidelines
  • Pre Sales solutions design / engineering work with sales and customers to develop enterprise solutions.
  • Present technical white board demonstrations to clients.
  • Create solution/design to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Post-Sales project support to ensure that the solution sold is effectively implemented and to assure very high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Use configuration tools to provide accurate bill of materials.
  • Perform technical presentations to customer base.
  • Create design of customer solutions. Provide supporting documentation to enterprise solutions.
  • Write technical correspondence to customers and internal staff
 
Requirements:
  • Solid technical knowledge and proven experience with production network infrastructure devices, security though L7 e.g. application awareness and intrusion detection and prevention, wireless, voice, servers, virtualization, storage, etc.
  • Excellent working knowledge of network implementation strategies, deployment models, and best practices with Juniper and Cisco devices; routed, switched, and security, again in both an enterprise and service provider space
  • Strong experience with network routing protocols and standards on both packet and session based devices e.g., BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, TCP, IP, UDP, IPSEC, GRE, SSL, Zones, ACLs, ALGs, etc.
  • Experience at the executive and engineer levels in a consultative process regarding the design, delivery, implementation and maintenance of complex enterprise networking solutions    
  • Experience with Juniper T, M, MX, ERX, EX, Screen Devices, SRX, SA, MAG, IC, IDP, NSM, SPACE, Trapeze, etc. is preferred
  • Strong pre-sales experience in the supporting the sales function for a professional services/consulting organization in the computer networking industry is preferred
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • 5-7 years of network engineering experience (pre-sales experience preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar degree or a combination of education/certification and relevant experience
